What if the judge was a 17th century bewigged man?

CHARLES II or JAMES II or the THE PERJURER TITUS OATES or JUDGE JEFFREYS OF THE BLOODY ASSIZES (1685)

Francis Barlow 1682 The Horrid Hellish Popish Plot A Burlesque. Two of twenty-four cartoons of a picture story , a very early comic strip with speech balloons.

What if the tableau of the judge, the dogs, no-name, thespian and the bearded man, illustrates A Ballad upon a Popish Plot or Francis Barlow’s picture story, The Horrid, Hellish Popish Plot?

Francis Barlow had authored the picture story after the Popish Plot of 1678, a very early, if not the first, ‘comic strip’ with speech balloons of twenty -four cartoons. A wretch of a man in a 17th Century wig called Titus Oates invented a plot; the narrative accused Jesuits and Roman Catholic noblemen and others of planning to kill the protestant King Charles II, who wore a wig, also.
